KelTec PF9 trigger mod

A Simple Kel-Tec PF9 trigger staging modification.

I own a Kel-Tec PF9 9mm pistol but I have not liked the way the firearm has a very long trigger pull and then waiting as I would be squeezing the trigger waiting for the firearm to fire with out knowing the exact spot during the squeeze that it finally fire. So I came up with a very and inexpensive way to make it much easier to know when it was going to fire. I bought a pack of Ticonderoga black pencils because they use black erasers. The idea is because the Eraser will give a little when the trigger is pulled allowing the firearm to have a staging area allowing for a lot better control on when the pistol would fire. So I pulled out one of the erasers and cut it down to about .230 inches and super glued it to the frame of the pistol. Then I used dummy 9 mm rounds and pulled the trigger back to see if it would fire yet. Then using a small hand file I very carefully filed away a little at a time and then kept testing it to see if it would fire. You want to make sure not to remove to much you want the trigger to be able to rest against the eraser with out it firing. So that you have to Squeeze the trigger just a little more to make it fire. I must say it works wonderful so much easier to fire the pistol with a lot better accuracy. I hope that this will help other owners of the Kel-Tec PF9.
