Kelly Thomas Killers Acquitted - ARRRGGGHH!!!!

Les Brers
Every once in awhile I let down my guard and expect this completely usurped government to work. Every time I do that, like in the Kelly Thomas case, I get kicked in the crotch again for my trust in both government and in humanity itself.

Even when a cop stands over a mentally ill person telling them in no uncertain terms, “You see these fists? They’re about to f**k you up,” and proceeds to follow through with that threat for 33 freakin' minutes, pistol-whipping the young man with the butt of his Taser and his cohorts using batons and asps, all of it caught as clear as a bell on security cameras, even that is not enough to convict the two accused killers of any crime in this country!

I'm not any kind of fan of the LA Times, but their coverage gives both the trial and verdict information, as well as many links to the back-story, so I'm breaking my years-long boycott of their website this one time. Read it and if you're human, weep.

RIP Kelly.

Burn in Hell Manuel Ramos and Jay Cicinelli, only two of the members of the gang that murdered a young, mentally ill homeless man in cold blood......for no reason other than that he was homeless, or mentally ill, or unresponsive to their questioning because of his mental illness, whatever. Freakin' pigs should be swingin' from a gallows, not out Link Removed on New Year's Eve while their trial was still under way!

What level of despotism will it take to wake Americans up and inspire resistance to such brutality? Let me predict that there will be more outrage expressed towards me for calling these freakin' pigs pigs than there will be towards the killers, their defenders, the judge or the freakin' pigs on the jury who allowed this travesty of justice to occur. Have at it. The dead soul of America will be revealed with each shrug of the shoulders or defense of these pigs.

I too share in your frustration. These thugs will eventually get what's coming to them sooner or later. Karma is a *****.

Hah like KARMA works against the elite and protected... Hell even when it does work, they are to blind to see it as KARMA for what they did - they rail against the negatives that hurt them and say "WHY ME I HAVE DONE NO WRONG" and get platitudes and handouts and shoulders of other elites to cry on giant searchlights of light to protect them from further darkness.. While the friends and family's of their victims continue to roll in darkness with little light at the end.

Pursuant to Blues post and the associated articles, I found the following in the comment section which if not internet psychobabble then we're even further down the authoritarian road than many of us probably suspected:

Years ago I had a beef with a city and called an attorney to see if he'd give me some help with it. He had a full page ad in the phone book, boasting of being a former prosecutor, with tons of trial experience, etc. He told me he didn't take cases against the city or police. I asked him if that was because as a former prosecutor, he was sort of a member of the ol' boy's club.
He said, no, it was because he had a wife and children, and was afraid something would happen to them. He then started to talk about cases against police officers where retaliation against an attorney's family took place, suddenly realized he was talking to a stranger and wouldn't say anything more. He was dead serious and genuinely afraid. About all I could do is hold the phone with my jaw dropping into my lap. By any reasonable measure of such things, this was a guy with a fair amount of clout that you would normally think would be immune to that sort of attack.
Scary. Welcome to America; the land of the oppressed and the home of the slave.

Kelly Thomas verdict: Family wants officers to face federal charges - latimes.com

Blues.... I share your pain and frustration.

Hopefully the Feds will bring Federal charges against them. Criminals in Federal prisons love cops... I mean reallly loooooove cops in the pokey. That would be justice.

I don't really know what the spark will be, however, once it occurs, these government thugs are going to find themselves vastly outnumbered and in serious trouble.

I know this is going to sound strange coming from me, considering the level of disgust and anger I hold for the Unjustice System at this time specifically about this case, but I cannot now, nor have I ever, condoned the "2nd bite at the apple" that federal prosecutions after a completed trial with a jury verdict represent. Along with Roe v. Wade and the 100% activist ruling on ObamaCare, I don't care what the SCOTUS says, I can read English pretty damn well and can see with my own eyes that the state courts operate under the same Constitution as federal courts do, which means Double Jeopardy attaches whenever a 2nd trial comes out of a completed district or state court trial.

I get the temptation to wish for a federal trial, but I can't. I think the practice is unconstitutional. The pigs' judgement is left to His hands now. We had our chance, and as usual, we blew it.

Dammit Blues, just when I thought I had tried to give a bit of comfort and solace, you have to use facts and reasoning, logic, and then throw in the Constitution. Geesh. *wink*

Excellent point, and one I should have picked up on before I posted. Thanks for realigning me.

I have tried and tried to post something here, but every time I have had to erase it and start over because if i posted it, I would have broken some "laws" about death threats and such...
So I will post it like this instead.... If anything like this happens in my AO, there will be Unintended Consequences......

Scum. Absolute scum. If I were chief of police I would have thrown them under the bus.

Until some of these police chiefs, DA's, and prosecutors do throw some of these guys under the bus nothing is going to happen; the folk's will continue to be jack-booted by thugs like this. This is moral hazard at it's absolute worst... and we all pay, especially those that the system claims to protect the most.

Is killing the mentally ill law enforcements new way of dealing with this so called threat to society? All of the pleas for more money and services for mental illness programs, rehab centers, and clinicians seems not to reach the needed projects but end up in the defense funds for unscrupulous and reprobate police officers.

It certainly appears that many LE agencies and their toady DA's truly believe that, power does grow from the barrel of a gun!

Blues, it's not your fault. Our society has allowed this to happen. We have allowed this to happen. The idiots living among us allowed this to happen.

We have children and grand children. I feel guilty for this. The legacy I wanted my children and grand children to experience is gone.

Crushing debt, political turmoil, police state, socialism and government abuse of their rights (if there are any left) awaits their coming of age.

It makes me sick. Seriously, it makes me sick.

At one time I was a supporter of the police and was brought up to trust them. In many ways I still support the cops, because there is really no alternative. There are always individuals in any group who are thugs that believe that they are beyond the law. But most LEOs are just men doing a difficult and sometimes dangerous job.

Unfortunately, in recent years the situation has changed noticeably. Police agencies around the country are becoming militarized and the Feds are encouraging and supporting this militarization. They are starting to believe that they interpert the law and are able to alter the law to conform to their ideas. They also seem to be acquiring a gang mentality where they support fellow officers without question. Local police are becomming subsidiaries of the federal agencies. This is a very dangerous situation and makes the institution of a police state far more likely. Not only is individual liberty trampled, but individuals are subject abuse and brutallity.

I agree with everything you've said. At one time, I supported all law enforcement unconditionally. But after seeing so many abuses and deaths and all of it being swept under the rug, it's getting harder and harder. Those guys didn't even get a slap on the wrist. I read where the jurors had said that the video helped to acquit the cops. Maybe they didn't see the same one I did. Or maybe there was more to it than I saw. I'd still like to give them the benefit of the doubt. I'd like to, but I can't. There was no justification for killing him.

I could see the jury saying that the killing was incidental to the beating, and therefore less than Murder 2 (which is what Ramos was charged with), but I can't see the level of use of force necessary to do to Kelly what the pictures from the hospital prove was done as being "justified." That's the thing for me. The jury basically said that at least 15 minutes of torture, deprivation of oxygen, and nobody doing a thing to help him until EMS got there, was justified. If that's true, it would've been true whether or not Kelly died in agony five days later, and it would further indicate that had he lived, any civil action for brutality would've been defeated given the same jury pool from which to draw.

I have been tempted to post a picture or two of Kelly's last days in the hospital, but have thought them too shockingly grotesque to post among polite company. That said, if there's anyone who doesn't know about the Kelly Thomas case out of Fullerton, CA, I encourage you to search Link Removed for just the name of the young man and see with your own eyes what level of barbarity can be deemed "justified" in today's "Free" America. If that had been me laying in that hospital bed, death would have been a blessing from God.

Or you can watch the video without having to see the blood and guts of the still pictures. Warning for language, and if you're allergic to pork, don't watch it, though allergic or not, watching might cause you to want to puke if you've got any humanity left in you anyway.

Yeah, I've seen the pictures from the hospital too. He's totally unrecognizable from earlier pictures. It would have been much kinder on their part to just come out and shoot him. But then they might not have gotten away with it. [/sarcasm]

This kind of barbarism and injustice is just another Sign of the End of the Age and is a prelude of America & the New World Order prophesied for this LAST GENERATION. The evil in this world is growing stronger, more violent and cruel every day. People who don’t know the Lord are running out of time. People should be scared! I shudder to think of those LEFT BEHIND to face the jack-booted thugs, gleeful about the authority they’ll be given over the populace, and who’ll be free to steal and rape and kill to their dark heart’s content, by the thought of all those hundreds of thousands of Americans who will be hustled out of their homes, taken to some FEMA camp which are already staffed and waiting to receive them; separated from their spouses and children and at the mercy of demonically influenced goons whose greatest pleasure will be to torture and exterminate those in their charge.

I fear for the ones who turn to Christ after we Christians are gone and are persecuted to a degree no group has ever endured before. "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be" (Matthew 24:21, 22). Unable to buy or sell—unable to get food for their families—hunted like wild animals by those whose hearts are stone cold, those who won’t hesitate to slaughter small children in front of their parents, just to see the suffering in their helpless eyes. Think it can’t happen? That’s what the Jews and Germans thought too. It CAN and it WILL happen here in the “land of the free and the home of the brave.” How does one go about preparing for the end of civilization, as we know it? Store up food and water? How long will that last? Buy some guns for protection? So you can be the target of soldiers, kicking your door in during the night and tearing your home to shreds, searching for the firearms they know you have? What’s the point? There will be no place that is safe from the cameras and spying eyes that will turn you in to authorities in a heartbeat. And this holocaust won’t have heroes to hide you and your family or sneak you food. There will be no love for your neighbor left. Those LEFT BEHIND must be prepared to suffer the horrible consequences of their own stupidity. Maranatha!

I am the parent of a teenage autistic son. There aren't too many things over which I lose sleep, but this scenario is one of them. God forbid that he ever does something in complete innocence and finds himself confronted by police. That is a scenario that scares me more than I can say.
