Just ordered a Gunbelt

I just ordered a new Latigo Canyon gun belt from Tucker Gunleather. It's Mahogany color. I have been using a regular leather belt and everyone keeps telling me to get a good gun belt so I finally ordered one.

How many people here use a good gun belt?

:victory:

I use a Crossbreed gun belt all the time - love it. The double layer of leather and velcro are a little thick at first if you're not accustomed to a good gun belt, but now it's my standard.

Bought a 2" double-stitched thick leather belt at Tractor Supply last year for $19.95. No problem supporting a fully loaded XD 9 double stack. Yes, a bit stiff at times, but sturdy. Not the prettiest piece of leather, typically Mexican leather craft, but cheap and serviceable.

i love mahogany i'll check into doing the same as i'm going to need a good gun belt to carry too
thanks for the heads up i'm going to google tucker leather now
did you get the 79 dollar one? is what i would get but wow they are expensive

I've been hearing a little about them in the past couple of months. What are they and why are they needed? Is it just a stiffer belt that prevents sagging with the weight?

yes stiff very stiff belts .....i've seen them at the gun show kinda pricey for a belt but if you're going to carry it's a good belt to have

Mine was a 1 1/4 inch wide Latigo Canyon belt. $69 Look at it this way, a good gun belt will last longer and support your holster and gun much better. Helping you in times of drawing your gun in an emergency. The few extra dollars are worth it. I'm even going to order a second gun belt before long.

i'm holding out till the giveaway to be honest before i buy any thing but meanwhile doing my homework shopping around so if i don't win and i not holding my breath but still keeping my 'fangers' crossed........and if i don't win i will order a belt or two a holster and most likely the same gun given away......to get me started......at this point i'm still waiting to get my permit application approved from tallahassee and it could take two more months i applied early in may and it takes up to 90 days going that route

you might as well just buy now then, that giveaway is all mine! ;)

lolz i'm patient i can wait i don't even have my permit yet and it's going to take a small fortune to get all that stuff anyways so i'm still saving money in my cookie jar for this goal

yup i'm holding off to purchase till the winner of the giveaway is called.....but in the meantime doing my homework and shopping around so when i'm ready to purchase i can 'just do it'
if i won the giveaway i wouldn't have to purchase a thing as it's a sweet set up as far as i'm concerned everything i would need...and would make it my edc after some practice familiarizing myself with that ruger

Galco 2 inch, I waited ten months too long trying to avoid the expense. I am much happier after a full day when carrying my Glock22 or 35. Money well spent.

I got My belt from Bullhide Belts. It is a man made belt called the "indestructible belt". Only comes in black and looks like leather. It was $69 and includes the shipping. Has a lifetime guarantee and takes 3-5 days to receive it in the mail. Their leather belts have a 3 yr guarantee.

A good gun belt is worth it's weight in ammo! Keeps you gun in place, around your waist, instead of sagging in every direction you can think of. I've had a Galco belt for for years than I can remember, a DeSantis belt for just a little less time, and now I'm looking a one from Beltman. A lifetime ago when I carried a gun for a living, I had Bianchi gear, and that was top notch too. It's money well spent, second only to the holster you choose.

iv got 2 beltman gun belts in 1.25" in bullhide. does a great job and the thinner belt looks better on my 5'3" small frame. the 1/4" thickness needs some getting used to and to cover up! but when i de-emphasize the belt, the gun disappears. so thats a plus.

I put off buying a gun belt for several yrs, just did not think it was worth the extra money. WRONG!! I finally bought one at the gun show and WOW!! Hard to believe the difference it makes in carrying a gun. No more pulling up my pants all the time because they are sagging from the weight. Wish I had not put it off so long. I was at the point I did not carry all the time because of the hassle, now I carry 100% of the time. Worth every dime you spend on a quality gun belt.
