Just joined the Glock family.

Well it finally happend,I bought my first Glock today. Took home a brand new Glock 23 Gen 4. It's my new carry gun,wife made me a deal to good to pass up. I could get the Glock,if she could get a Ruger LCP. Photos to follow as soon as I get my computer hooked up.

Funny you should ask that. I stopped at the store and picked up an oversize chocolate chip cookie. Ate it on the way to the gun shop.

What do y'all use for night sights? Just ordered some meprolights. Orange back sights and green front.
 
Welcome to the world of Glock...I have had good luck with the Tru-Glo TFO on my 19 they're brighter than my Trijicon's at night and are awesome for target acquisition in the day....

Congratulations on a very fine sidearm....Enjoy this video of the Glock 23 at 230 yards.

 
Congrats. I drank the Kool aid and retired my 3rd Gen Smith last month in favor of a G36. Great gun. Easy carry. No cookie, though. Just sorry I waited so long it took me to come into the 21st Century.

Congrates, you definatly got the better end of that deal, only thing is you will want another, we had 8 at one time, traded 3 on a couple of 1911s, and on the LCP, see if she still likes it after she shoots it much, wife and I had one, did not care much for it, not bad but snappy recoil, easy to limp wrist, and way to long trigger pull, I know they are small and cute, and until you get a bunch of rds threw them not dependable, definatly not my first choice for a carry gun, IMHO the Bersa or Walther would be a better piece for personal protection, a bit larger gun but much easyer to shoot, and a whole lot more accuurate

I got her a bersa 380 two tone with a crimson trace laser grip. She hated it and ended up selling it. In the end she is the one that has to carry it.
 
Having owned many guns in my life, I "drank the Glock coolaid" two weeks ago and bought a G19 Gen 4. Two hundred and fifty rounds down range later and I'm addicted. Very sweet firearm.

Forget about it. I've asked for that cookie myself, and mentioned it several threads and I'm starting the think the whole idea of getting a cookie if you own a Glock is a sham, a deception, untruth, false, not real. There are no Glock cookies and I'm going to log off now and pout all day.
