Just Bought Some Trap Loads at Dicks and .......

Got Beretta's?
First of all, I don't buy ammo from Walmart because of their "butt buddy" relationship with Micheal Bloomberg's 'RESPONSIBLE FIREARMS RETAILER PARTNERSHIP:
A 10-Point Voluntary Code
, but I needed some Trap Loads ASAP.
I had coupons and a gift card from ****'s. I picked up a case of Winchester Super Targets and walked to the register.
First question, Did you find everything? Yes I said. What is you Date of Birth, I gave it.
These coupons don't apply to ammunition. Then he says You have to answer the question on the register. There the little screen says, Are you a US Citizen Yes or No.
I push yes.
I said what do you mean the coupons don't apply, you are a sporting good store. You sell guns and ammo. Where else does one buy ammo.
He said it is State law. I said no it isn't.
When did all of this start? I asked about 3 weeks ago I was told.
So I can register to vote and they don't care about my citizenship but because I am buying ammo I have to answer.

Bottom line, the Gift Card I had came from my Trap League Banquet. I will make sure that we don't make that mistake again.
****'s Management is being like Walmart and throwing its customers under the bus for political correctness. SCREW that and screw them.

I had a Problem with them as well. I purchased a lower quality gun safe from them & got it home, opened the box & there was a dent on one of the corners, so I called them up & told them about it & I was told " Well how do we know that you did it when you transported it or unloading it." the problem is that I had pointed out the mark on the box & was told "Don't worry about that, if it is damaged we'll take care of you". Well they reneged on that & I will never go back to ****'s & suggest that no one else go there either.

Who?

I'm trying to understand where the asterisks are coming from.. ****'s isn't a real place :) Anyone care to elaborate how the cus-buster censored a retail store's name? Or is it just that bad of a name?

I guess I found the perfect place for my rant. I don't by that much from ****'s but occasionally will pick up a few odds and ends if I am there with my girlfriend when she shops for gym clothes. Nine times out of ten I notice some poor fella waiting for someone to come to the firearms department to sell him a box of ammo which is usually a ten to fifteen minute wait. After the first couple times it happened to me, I gave up. They seem to be generally uninterested in keeping the business of shooters in the area. One of these days I might just write to them and ask why.

Ive run into problems with the same store. Twice now I had to go find someone to help me with ammo because it's stored behind the counter. The last time they took my permit info at the register. Big brother tracking sales of handgun ammo ? It was 38 special ammo, I could have been shooting it out of a lever action right ? Time to just buy from my LGS. No hassles there.

I've found Cabela's is a good place to buy ammo too. Always a good supply and typically at least one good brand at a big discount.

Cabela's opened a new store in Allen around a year ago in the same shopping center as ****'s - wonder which of the two are doing better?
