Job interview....

As of late I've kind hit a wall at my current job with advancement not likely to happen any time soon. So getting bored I updated my resume and sent it out to a few contacts. I got a call back today and have a phone interview tomorrow for a Senior QA Lead position. I've wanted to get into a lead/management roll so this looks like a great opportunity. I feel blessed with the economy the way it is to get this chance so I hope it all goes well.

By the way if anyone needs some side QA work done I know a good tester!! :biggrin:
 
I have been applying for work for 18 months. Nothing here in Florida. Master Electrician, 35 yrs, . Finally got a call from a Cable Co. I start next week. This is crazy I applied for close to 100 positians and no calls. Either to Old or too Qulafied, go figure... Im just glad someone hired me...

Can't pay you your worth....
You'll go back to the higher job as soon as you can...

Yup, I'm an electrician also.
 
Ric, yep we are high
dollar on the wage scale,Worked fot Chrysler , Mopar. but I am willing to work for what ever I get to put food on the table for my wife and I. Hopefully , Things will turn around this year and the Building Trades will pick up...

Hope it works out for you and there is more money in it for you. You know your dad needs a place to stay when he leaves snowhio :pleasantry:

Still in the hunt.. Waiting for God to open the right door..
 
Hey, PB.. Dad turnded 93 on Saturday, been going to be hard to get him and mom to come done from Michigan, . I will have to fly up and escort them on the flight. Too old to go alone. :)

Thanks a ton guys. I had the first phone interview this morning and I feel it went well. Nothing was asked that I was not familiar with and I didn't leave the call kicking myself for something I said/didn't say. Now it's just a waiting game. Hopefully I'll know soon if they want to bring me in for a face to face interview.

Not sure what the policy is there yet but I intend to find out. If nothing else in the state of Florida they can not keep me from having it in my car. Only bad side is I'll be very busy leading a team and will not be able to get on here as much....... that settles it I'm not taking the job! lol

Yep thats why I feel very blessed to have a job and have this opportunity. I wish you well and hope something comes up soon for you.

Not a problem. I was just posting cause I was having a hard time concentrating at work thinking about the interview. So chat away.....

I really hope it works out also. I found out more about the job this morning. I'll be leading a team of 6-7 people and reporting directly to the QA manager. Amazing opportunity and the pay, including bonuses, will be about a 40% increase.
