Jefferstown wants it's residents to carry concealed

First thing is: They will have your info locally.

Not everyone is comfortable with guns. I think the main reason for many of them is they fear what they do not understand. Taking the class may be good for them. Obviously you can't force everyone to carry a weapon as some are against it for moral or religious reasons. However I've said it before if you are not willing to take up arms to defend yourself you have no right to expect others to do it for you.

Jeffersontown officials have backed away from an idea to have the city pay for weapons training courses for residents who obtained concealed carry licenses.

Instead, the City Council will consider endorsing a discounted concealed carry licensing class that will be of no cost to the city.
