Jax Fl Gun Control

I believe is a smart program to get illegal guns off the street. This is gun control aimed at getting criminals off the street and it does not affect us law abiding citizens

See it, Stop it could result in arbitrary or worse, hostile reports that result in huge civil rights infringements. Maybe the details of the programs provide adequate safety features - I don't know.

Sometimes things like this seem all well and good (like gun free zones) until you consider all the implications.

This is nothing more that conditioning to turn citizen against citizen.
.
Where's your brain at? Or are you conditioned?

Let's see: about 45 guns per year [332/7] for a bounty of $201,000, plus the cost of running the program [staff, advertising, training]. Lawfully possessed firearms are probably an inconvenience for the owner and the investigator, as long as the investigator can be convinced the gun is legal. If there is any suspicion of the owner or the gun, this situation could become ugly and costly for the gun owner. I would be interested in data regarding the conviction of the possessors for these firearms. It might be interesting to investigate the crimes prevented as a result of this program, too.

It does sound pretty ineffective and a poor use of our government $$$, plus the Orwellian component is frightening.

I own a second home in Jax. I can assure fellow USA Carry members that Jacksonville, Florida is one of the most screwed up towns in Florida when it comes to city government. This is just an example.
