James Garner known for the Rockford Files and Maverick passed away Saturday night. I always liked him. RIP James.

I particularly enjoyed him in his role as Lt. Hendley, "the Scrounger," in The Great Escape. He was pretty good as Maverick, too!

From the first time I saw him in the Maverick premiere in September,1957, I've been a fan. A fine actor and a finer man. 2 Purple Hearts in Korea in 1951.

Rest in peace, Mr Garner. You'll be missed.

I was always impressed with a poem he recited in a Chevy commercial. Maybe you remember it. Maybe he's there now.

Nobody Knows it But Me

There's a place that I travel,
When I want to roam
And nobody knows it but me.

The roads don't go there,
And the signs stay home
And nobody knows it but me.

It's far, far away and way, way afar,
It's over the moon and the sea,
And wherever you are going,
That's wherever you are
And nobody knows it but me.

Howdy,

RIP James!

I'm a HUGE Rockford fan. I grew up watching them and have watched them many, many times in reruns.
