James Brady dies!

Quite frankly, I feel badly that someone who is not a BG or some kind of cretin has died, but this means nothing to me, and I surely do not appreciate how he and the "group" that used him as their poster boy decided that they know what is best for me and my constitutional rights.

30 years after being shot, Brady death ruled a homocide. Hinkley, in a mental institution, could be charged.

This is the honest truth - When I first heard that he died, I almost posted that I wondered how long it would be before Hinckley would be charged with murder, but figured I'd just keep quiet about it since I'm having trouble mustering the will to care that he's gone.

I don't know if Hinckley's "innocent because of insanity" verdict included Brady's shooting in the mix, I presume it did, but I really don't think the murder charge even at this late date is all that far-fetched. Probably can't happen, but I really don't have any particular problem with the ME's ruling.

OMG!!!!! You have got to be kidding me. Just think how far reaching this could be. A person who was shot in the 30s and died yesterday could have the defendant in the case charged with murder now. The Feds had better think long and hard about this as it would open up a lot of cops to the same charges.

Howdy,

One a different note:

Brady was Pro-Gun until he got shot.

After Reagan left office he to was very anti-gun and support the Brady Bill.

Here's a good read that implies charges/trial are probably not going to happen. Of course, nothing's final till the obese opera diva melodically vocalizes.
