It looks like Magpul is packing its bags

What a waste. Nothing has happened on a federal level, & now it's pretty clear nothing (MUCH ) will happen.
Those states that choose to initiate "Feel Good Legislation", don't deserve the tax revenue.
Come to Michigan, we have plenty of manufacturing ability. But bring your people along, they'll be welcome too.

We hope they will come to Wyoming.

And missoak - why in hell would the "tax revenue" be important? You work for the government?

How about freedom, right to self defense, stuff l like that?

I just hope they don't change their minds because the state told them, it's Ok to make the 30rds Mags for sale in other states, just not in our sweet little safe state.
Sounds like you haven't kept up with it - they've repeatedly stated they will not stay, even if given an exemption.

What? No I don't work for anybody. Co. would be losing the tax revenue.

We have a few problems here in Michigan that might keep Magpul out. First, we have a governor that is solidly in bed with Bloomberg. Second, we have a growing number of mayors, like Mayor Heartwell here in Grand Rapids, who are also in bed with Bloomberg. Heartwell is out to push anti-gun legislation, beginning with limiting or eliminating carry of firearms in public meetings, public buildings, schools, churches, etc. Heartwell would be one of those who would love the tax revenues, but would work to insure that Michigan residents don't have access to magpul products. Even more such mayors are found on the east side of the state. I fully expect to see gun control legislation pursued in Michigan after the next governor is elected (assuming a democrat wins, which, right now, is looking more like a possibility all the time. Snyder is only nominally a republican).

We have outstanding manufacturing capabilities here, but out leadership is rapidly going down the same path as those in Colorado.
