The first time the ISP approved carry conceal applications, they later put all the approved applicants back under review. Well The Illinois State Police began approving applicants again today.

Keep us posted. Be interested to see how long it takes. I was 69 days. First approved at 31 days but then got put back under review like all the other instructors.

Congrats! I just took the class and submitted my application recently, so I'm at the end of the line. Will be interested to see how efficiently they move through the process.

I applied on 1/5 but my status is still "Under review" but I didn't submit fingerprints either so may take a while longer.

Just a heads up, some people are receiving their CCL in the mail and their status on the IL CCL site still states, "Under Review".

So don't put too much faith in the online status.

LOL man nothing surprises me anymore! That's the first I have gheard that but I don't doubt it to be the truth. Lowest bidder wins, eh. They have 4.5 years to work out the bugs for the onslaught of renewals.

I know some instructors who still haven't been approved yet.

Does anyone know how the ISP app numbering system works? I applied 1/5 and have app # 9XXX. Last2No above says he applied 1/3 and has an app # of 13XXX. Apparently the app numbers are not in "date received" order. Maybe they're separated into "with prints" and "without prints" groups? Guess it doesn't make any difference but seems strange that Last2No applied prior to me but has an app # that is some 4000 higher than mine.
