As a relatively new father, the first one is almost 7, two more getting older. I've learned that I will teach my children what is important and what is not. I don't think that anyone else should hold more "power" of influence over them than I do. They will learn what they will in school, but because of the values I instill in them myself, they will know what is garbage and what is not.
