Am I the only member who feels this forum is a complete joke? Members like justxboxin talking about drugs, sleeping with a loaded gun, and offering advice on things he has zero knowledge about have me packing up and moving on. Gun ownership is not a joke and his antics should not be allowed to continue. I have flagged his posts and sent messages to "lukem" but his dangerous behavior continues. What gives?

I think most things here are over stated. Some things are stretched and full of it. There is very little moderation here. It's personal preference as to if you stay or go. I choose to engage in only topics here I see fit.

"Members like justxbox" ...members, plural, do you have problems with more members other than justxboxin? I agree his grammar is horrific, and he often comes across immature, but the good from other members far out weights justxboxins input. I agree with the other members, ignore him if it bothers you.

By members I mean justxboxin and others. There are responses about hating cops, racial attacks, to name a few. Perhaps you're correct about the many good members but when you view this forum on the mobile app a lot of the topics/threads simply aren't there. I end up with the same nonsense over and over.

Perhaps my question is better aimed at the iphone application. I am only able to view a small portion of the full site so my access is completely overwhelmed by justboxin. I am only able to include about 12 lines of viewable text before the keyboard on my device blocks the screen making it impossible to continue to keep writing.

Just ignore the people you do not like to read messages or responses from. Move on to other more meatier conversation and those that makes you feel good and comfortable...If you read annoying messages you just ruin your day and blame someone else for it. Like one poster said, sometimes he just want hit someone's head for not trying to understand the message. Ignore them too. They will only aggravate your senses. Just when you are feeling so happy being able to wake up, you read some jerk's stupid message. It is not worth it worrying about them. Be happy...

That is what my first question was asking, who are the others bothering you?

I'm not sure how the iPhone app is layed out, but there should be a way to navigate directly into the sub forums so you don't have to keep reading the newest posts. As for the cop hating/loving, that will never end. I find nothing wrong with people who don't like cops. Not sure which racial remarks you are talking about....

Glad your phone doesnt have any buttons. You might hurt your brain trying to figure out buttons on another smartphone. If you don't like what I say block me. Only time you get kicked off of this site Is for swearing.

I read this on my android sometimes. Across the top, I have several buttons to choose from, including "forums." Or I can choose from a list of recent topics, like this one. Maybe your app is broken. :wink:

On the iphone I can select sub forums but the number of posts is very low. Page one, of general firearms, shows posts from last month as being most recent and the thread count is extremely low. New threads show 4/26/12 by the time you get down to the eighth thread. I am using the 3G and it is running the latest version according to the publisher. So be it.

I agree with the "move-on" replies. Unless any of you are friends, none of us have any idea who the heck that person is who is replying or posting threads. It takes less than a second to record the garbage and move on and find the replies that make this forum a helpful and fun way to explore one's interest in firearms and defense with same. I tend to think that the more macho talking members are probably the least likely to be so. It is the old adage that it is not the guy who is talking loudest, it is the guy who is quiet doing all the thinking. I do agree with one comment though and I apologize if this upsets any---the grammar and spelling in many comments is as close to "non-english" as you can get.

I have a 3GS and it works fine on my phone. The reason the posts look older is because it shows up when someone new posts . It's showing you the original date posted with the time .

I have been warning members for months now. BEWARE of TROLLS.
Bloomberg hired people to visit gun shows and say "I don't think I could pass a NICs Check will you sell me the gun anyway?" It worked. He was able to get a few people (not the gun show dealers) to make a private sale in the parking lots. Yet the headlines were crafted in such a way that even members on this forum thought it was the actual dealers. Mission accomplished!
Splashy headline and news conference did the damage intended. Now Bloombergs people are going after online forums to close the "online gun sale gap".
All they need are a few racist, or terrorist quotes for examples or sales from a few forums . Don't fall into their trap .
Many of these blatantly stupid topics like pot and guns, etc are posted by members who just joined.
Remember! in the 1980's DEA advertised paraphernalia and legal precursors in High Times Magazine.
Bloombergs people are out there and they are on forums like ours.

Every group has it's nut jobs, weirdo's and idiots. As mature sensible individuals it is our ability to filter out the "BS", and not not judge the group as a whole by the actions of a few, that keeps things going forward.
