sorry for newb question but....

it was mention to keep a gun in a car if it needs to be lock while in certain areas or while at work but keep in car.... can this be consider "locked" just in the trunk or glove dept? also if i do happen to leave in car for a while... what would be more considerable.... in a pouch/bag it came with but with a lock on the zipper or trigger lock? or a gun case with lock better? Here is your state law:
https://malegislature.gov/Laws/GeneralLaws/PartI/TitleXX/Chapter140/Section131C

The law says the unloaded gun must be locked in the trunk or in a locked case or secure container. The glove box is NOT a secure container or locked case. The gun must either be locked in the trunk, or in a container with a lock (such as a safe) - NOT center console or glove box - or a case with a lock on it. You can keep the gun in the camo softsided bag with no locks on it, so long as that bag is locked in the trunk.

Bottom line. Depends on State and depends, if you are travelling, how many states you intend to go through that have laws that meet the storage needs and reciprocity of your state. New law in SC--under the seat, as long as you have your CCWP, is OK. Words tell me that any compartment or storage area open or closed where the firearm is concealed is OK and not just in secured-defined-car equipped compartments--say pocket book, fanny pack--even a cigar box. If I am wrong I would appreciate correction so as not to provide incorrect info to others on the forum.

I have two NV 300 gun safes, one for each vehicle for under the seat with a cable to go around a seat post.
