is the XDM worth the extra money?

Who has both an XD and an XDM and what's their verdict?

I have an XDm 9mm 4.5" barrel that I use for IDPA shooting. I have an XD45c and XD40sc for concealed carry. I like both. You can't go wrong with either one IMHO.

I too have an XDM 4.5, an XD45, and an XD40sc. They all three shoot great. The larger grips are nice in the xdm. Can't really go wrong with any of them.

Both good weapons. How much is the difference in accuracy worth to you? With the XDm I can shoot groups equal to what I typically experience with my 1911's that I can't match with the my XD's.

I have a XD 9 that I put a Storm Lake threaded match barrel in to use with a suppressor. Wow, now it holds groups as tight or tighter than the XDm 9mm. The cost to upgrade the barrel + the original cost of the XD was greater than a new XDm even without the threads.

However, I like the XD grips better.

I like both, but for CCW I like the XDM because it is a little bit thiner than the XD model.

but all and all. I like them both.
