Is "pre-ban" still a legitimate selling point?

Since there currently is no AWB and none of the rules and regs apply that were in it, does listing your weapon as "Pre-ban" provide any tangible selling points or increases in value?

I still see a lot of weapons advertised for sale this way.

What are your thoughts?

Some items like magazines carry a premium in places like New York. Pre-1994 manufacture hi capacity magazines are legal, post '94 is limited to 10 round capacity for rifle of pistol. As far as the firearms go, you have the same situation. Some things are legal on a "pre-ban" that are not legal on "post" ban weapons.

Price gouging on a pre-ban item is very stupid. Like was said, in places such as NY pre-ban AR15s, lowers, and magazines are still used\requested. It's understood there will be a small premium, but don't put a Colt Sporter up for $2,500, complete lower for $1,000 or stripped lower for $700 and expect it to sell. Likewise, average price for preban magazines runs $10-15/ea, and some of us who either lived there and moved or have preban magazines trade them off for 1.5 PMags to 1 preban now that PMags are fairly inexpensive.
