Is lawful to open carrying a firearm in mo if you have a concealed permit ?

Let's answer your question with a hypothetical, shall we?

It's a beautiful spring afternoon, you're walking down the street with your lovely wife and two children. You're also carrying your legal firearm in a concealed manner.

As you enjoy the warmth of the sun on your face and the sweetness of the air, you close your eyes and take in a deep breathe, taking pleasure in that moment. Can life get any better, you ask yourself.

Just then, a terrorist jumps out in front of you and opens fire with his AK-47. You go for your gun, but your shirt is in the way. As you attempt to pull it up, your wife and one of your kids go down. By the time you bring your weapon on target and take down the tango, your other kid has been downed as well.

With that said, you have to ask yourself what's more important, carrying concealed like a good, little gun owner or protecting your family?

I think what wild dog was trying to say is, yes. It is legal. He just cant figure out how to clear his weapon past his shirt.

I've seen men die because they couldn't get their weapon clear from their shirt fast enough. Men I've fought beside, ate with, bled with.

Open carry has always been legal in "most areas" of MO. Certain metro areas have(or had) their own set of laws.

The Missouri law as it currently stands:

21.750.1 (2) In any jurisdiction in which the open carrying of firearms is prohibited by ordinance, the open carrying of firearms shall not be prohibited in accordance with the following:

(a) Any person with a valid concealed carry endorsement or permit who is open carrying a firearm shall be required to have a valid concealed carry endorsement or permit from this state, or a permit from another state that is recognized by this state, in his or her possession at all times;

(b) Any person open carrying a firearm in such jurisdiction shall display his or her concealed carry endorsement or permit upon demand of a law enforcement officer;

(c) In the absence of any reasonable and articulable suspicion of criminal activity, no person carrying a concealed or unconcealed firearm shall be disarmed or physically restrained by a law enforcement officer unless under arrest; and

(d) Any person who violates this subdivision shall be subject to the penalty provided in section 571.121.
