Hi guys💪

I was wondering what could happen if a guy shoot me with a 300 grain XTP JHP Round in the upper forehead with a .50 AE Gold Desert eagle 24 k from 15 feet?
Is there any chance of survival possible?
Its a investigation!
Are there experts here?
Edit with a 9mm caliber are the chances of survival 10 % to 15% i have google it

Greets from Justin out the Netherlands👏

Why are you wondering? If a guy shoots you in the upper forehead with a 9mm you are dead too.

PS: Most people can't handle the Desert Eagle .50 AE and will shoot all over the place. They won't be making head shots with it, probably not even body shots. Shooting a gun like this is not like in the movies. Also, it is heavy as hell. It weights 2kg unloaded.

You still didn't post the source of your information about 9mm. Mine is a firearms instructor and ER nurse in my area.

My point is that your original question is pointless. .50 AE will certainly create a huge irrecoverable wound with a headshot. A 9mm will still destroy a significant part of your brain. There is really no chance of survival. You would need to get shot on an operating table of a brain surgeon to even have a chance. That's why we train to place headshots!

Okay but honestly with very fast medical treatment do I have a chance of survival after that you shot me in the upper forehead with a 50AE?

Absolutely not! Destroyed brain tissue can not be repaired.

Okay but a little bit destroyed brain tissue then?

??? You clearly have no Idea. I have no time to teach you basic human anatomy, but destroyed brain tissue and subsequent bleeding and loss of oxygen in the brain is pretty bad. Your questions are purely academic at this point.

Did you already severely bang your head? I mean today. Just before you posted. Keep us up to date on your injuries. Good luck!

So there is chance?

Not from a larger caliber gunshot wound. A 22lr maybe. Look up YouTube videos on shooting water melons with handgun rounds. That will give you a pretty good idea about the amount of brain damage created. In addition to that, there is the bleeding that causes all kinds of other issues, including damage to brain tissue that wasn't hit.

Okay do I have 0% chance?

I served two combat tours as the chief of anesthesia, one with a neurosurgical team in Iraq. In addition, I have 27 years experience in anesthesia with a lot of experience in trauma. Trust me, you would not survive ANY head trauma from a 50 cal. More than likely you would not have enough of your cranial vault remaining . It's certainly possible to survive a 9mm shot, but that depends on your definition of survival, whether the projectile was a hollow point, ball ammo, entry of the projectile, etc.
