I recently got my ccw in Iowa. I am looking for the best concealable gun to carry. I am leaning towards the Taurus 709 Slim. With my job I dress up a lot, and it needs totally concealed. I don't want anyone to know I'm carrying. The only problem is that gun is a little big to carry in my pocket. So I'm also looking at an iwb holster. Any advice?

Crossbreed SuperTuck for a holster. If you haven't bought a pistol yet, look at a Ruger SR series compact. Welcome to the forum.

Great gun if you are able to conceal it to your satisfaction. There isn't enough room inside my waistband so I can't help much there. Just get the best quality holster you can afford. I can't stress that enough.

Kholster is an inexpensive alternative...similar to others IWB designs...the PT709 is a nice smaller 9mm too, the Mrs has one that she likes very much. I've shot it numerous times as well...the sites are a bit 'small' for my liking but it is a smaller design gun so I guess it comes with the territory.

I like my Taurus TCP with laser, and a Versacarry Holster.

you might want to consider one of these two, both are .45 single stack. the glock 36 and the springfield xd-s. the xd-s is smaller than the glock, but not by much. in either case you cannot go wrong w/.45 stopping power. the iwb holster is of course what is confortable for you. someone already mentioned the crossbreed and it is excellent. but you will have to decide yourself. make sure that whatever you choose that it is a good quality product. if you aren't confortable w/the holster then you won't carry the weapon as you should. don't skimp on the holster. it is important.
