It has lines that remind me a bit of a PPK, but has some modern features and is chambered in 9mm with a .40S&W version in the works.

My first impression is that the design is intended to appeal to the types who value form (as seen in TV show product placements) and who want to impress their girlfriends by holding the gun sideways.
