In the never ending search for the "perfect" holster set up FOR ME, I did something interesting today. I like IWB carry because I have to conceal here in NY and I like the feel of the gun tight and secure against my body. I do have a couple of OWB's that I have accumulated over the last 6 months. I really like the X-Concealment "C" Series OWB because it is a kydex holster that is so thin, light, and minimal. Rides at a great height and cant. I decided to take the elastic/velcro waistband off of a Thunderwear holster that I don't use anymore (Like the SmartCarry instead because moisture keeps away from the pistol) and looped each end through the belt slots on the X-Concealment. I attached velcro on both ends of the band so it would attach and hold the X-Concealment. I then cut a small piece of horsehide that covered the slide from my CBSTD (have a Theis that I preferred) and attached that to the kydex with velcro to prevent sweat from touching my G26 since the OWB X-Concealment doesn't have a sweat shield. I decided to use velcro so I can convert the X-Concealment back to original OWB form when needed. The result is a holster that has what I loved about the X-Concealment made into an IWB. As mentioned in other posts, I prefer the weight of my gun being supported by my body instead of my pants and a belt. I will wear it tomorrow all day and see how it works. Very tight against the body with very minimal print when tucked is what I am guessing.
