Reminds me of the guy who said he was a Jewish Buddhist.
How does that work???
How do you mesh these two concepts together??
Buddhist share with Hinduism:
Karma, Maya, and Samsara
Karma (cause-and-effect ethics),
The Jewish would believe in
Reap what you sow (it's different!)
Maya (the illusory nature of the world-to see intuitively that the distinction
between the self and the Universe is a false dichotomy.),
Jewish would believe in
There is but one God, and "enlightenment" is from understanding HIM, not where YOU fit into the Universe
and
Samsara (the cycle of reincarnation)
Jewish - You live, you sin, the wages of sin is death, only God is Holy, Only God can forgive your sins, it wouldn't matter how many times you came back, if there was such a thing..
No need to respond, The subject is already Hi Jacked enough..
It is just funny how people can have two opposed thoughts/beliefs and they never see the conflict..
