Information on 45 cal starfire

I'm looking for handgun info. My friend is thinking about buying a 45 cal starfire and all I know is the company that makes them went out of business,so first are they any good and second can you get parts for them if you need them.

Do you mean Firestar, by the Spanish company Star? If so, I know someone who owns the 9mm version and it's a very nice gun for its size. They made it in .45, .40, and 9mm, but I seem to remember reading that the .45 is less common.
