Not really. He hit Fox three times. The vest took the shot to the chest. The other two were peripheral wounds, one grazing his head. Ever shot through car glass before? If you ever get the chance to, take advantage of it. You'd be surprised at how well auto glass can deflect a gunshot, especially a windshield.Fortunately for Officer Fox, Lockhart is a terrible shot.
Wow....just goes to show that there is no such thing as a 'routine traffic stop'.
I'm glad to hear that the officer and the k-9 will both recover.
That attempted cop killer deserves to get raped in prison i.m.o.
Wishing all the Officers involved a speedy and full recovery.
That said: No return fire? No try to drive out of the "ambush" (either thru or past the on-foot shooter)? Sitting still in a RUNNING cruiser while an active shooter approaches on foot?
There are multiple lessons in that dashcam video. It's worth it's weight in gold as training material.
