In Calif. is there a law against wrist supported sling shots?

I seem to remember some legal problems somewhere with wrist supported sling shots. Does anyone know where this might be an issue, like in specific states? I have one in my car trunk, and also am thinking of carrying a couple of arrows as they can be used with a sling shot. Since in Kalifornia, you must be a relative of the governor or police chief to carry a hand gun.

Not to be rude, but because this is a California state related question, you might want to post it in the California location specific forum.

Either that or look it up online. Certainly the information is available... For what it's worth, I have one with some ball bearing ammo for it. It's a heck of a lot of fun and might possibly be handy one day to teach your kids how to use one and to have them practice accuracy with it. My two boys can hit a pop can most shots at 15 yards or so. It's a hoot!

Since I am really new and I do not have thousands of posts, did not know to look for a Calif. only forum, will try to do that. Thought the "off topic" thing was correct.

as far as I know there is no California Penal Code prohibiting this....however, the city I lived in had a municipal code outlawing them. A call to your local PD should give you a for sure answer.
