illinois container carry?

hello, new guy here and life long resident of illinois. like alot of illinois residents, i am bound here by family and professional obligations and cannot relocate to another state. as a result, i am also bound by asinine laws.

i have no faith that ccw will eventually become law. after witnessing gov rod blagovich being REELECTED after an embarrassing first term, i have lost all faith in humanity. now, gov quinn gets reelected, after taking over for rod blagovich.

i do not, nor does anyone i know, container carries. even though it is technically "legal," i am scared of being arrested by an over zelous cop or states attorney and being fiancially cleaned out by legal fees.

do any of you illinois residents roll the dice and carry?

Sorry to hear that. I get that a person can't just pack and go somewhere else. I'm blessed in Colorado where we are pretty understanding of the 2nd Amendment, for the most part. What's the status of that ammo and so called "assault weapons" ban legislation in Illinois?

Feel for ya as I grew up on the West side of the Mississippi.
I had an great uncle that lived in Chicago though.
He was a dedicated Republican.
Voted Republican until the day he died.
Now he votes Democrat.
Seriously though, Now I live in Rural NY.
Same basic situation. The City Dwellers are so far removed from the rest of the state that their Theme Park way of life is being forced on the rest of the state where the rules are different.
Much of it is also accomplished through what used to be called corruption, but today is just called good politics.

yes, the chicago democratic machine rules all. i am in will county and somehow the democrats have rezoned the congressional maps.....my new rep is former black panther bobby rush. it is astonishing to me that these people keep getting reelected. anyway, i am unaware of any assault weapons legislation. i am considering getting involved in the state rifle association and and the will county grass roots association.

the problem is that i just dont think it matters and will have any positive effect.

I suggest moving anyway.

It may seem extreme at first but you will adjust quickly.

Several if my friends & neighbors moved from commiefornia many years ago and eventually their families followed.

As far as carrying within that grey area, only you can make that call
