Illinois Concealed Carry - Inevitable?

As Illinois starts recognizing the inevitability of concealed carry in the state, legislators are moving at light speed to enact more restrictive gun laws to prevent the law abiding from exercising their constitutional rights.

The latest... defunding the Illinois State Police who administer the Firearms Owners ID card application process.

It is bad enough that Illinois residents must register themselves to own or purchase a gun or ammunition, now if this legislation passes, the Illinois State Police will be prohibited from access the NICS system to verify firearm sales.

I think you are right mate! Are there enough Illinoisians out there that have a voice? The people we encounter here are just a drop in a bucket...and...I can make deep dish pizza without going to Illinois....

This is exactly correct. I haven't looked up voting records but I would bet a good sum of cash that 80% of Illinois politicians south of I-80 are voting in favor of concealed carry when it comes up. The problem is the Chicago and surrounding area politicians fighting to deprive us of it. We can vote, attend all the IGOLD rally's we want, but unless they make Chicago it's own state, it is going to be very difficult battle to win. It is completely beyond my way of thinking that they honestly believe they are right and 49 other states in the country are wrong on this issue.

No not quite the USA since a majority of the states have concealed carry and a growing number have constitutional (no permit required) carry. Keep the faith and keep voting.
