Illinois ccw

is there any new news on illinois ccw i havent been on in a while

But my underestanding of HR822 is that we still would not be able to carry in IL until they pass some sort of ccw peremit.

We would be able to carry, there was amendment to822 that was introduced which would let Illinois and dc to honor any out of state permits, ex Utah ccw permit.

that amendment did not pass so it was not added to the bill when it passed. so ill is still no carry state. vote the bastarxx out of office

I've not read the bill myself and just popped in here to check on updated posts so forgive me if this has already been answered.
I keep hearing about this bill allowing a CCW "from your home state" being valid in all other states. (except IL & DC) Is it safe to assume that if an IL resident currently holds an out of state CCW permit this bill would apply to them as well? No for carry in IL but the other states where the PA Non-Resident CCW permit is currently not recognized.
i.e. An IL resident with a Pennsylvania Non-resident carry permit currently cannot carry in Michigan, Florida, NY, etc. My hope is that this would open up the ability to carry in these (red) states on the reciprocity map also.
