H.G.Wells and Jack Finney, among others ,came up with some cool time transport methods. Social scientists have investigated and come to varying conclusions.

Our own personalities would shape the choice considerably, I believe.
What would be your preference,USA Carry and why.

My parents emigrated from Europe (legally!) in the early 50's with pretty much a suitcase each and their travelling clothes. They found opportunity and people willing to give them work (hard, sometimes nasty work, but it was a way to put food on the table). 60 years later, our clan turned out pretty well.

I am from the 50's. There would be things, ideas, and values that would need to be changed or tweeked but the 50's is when people still talked to each other. We didn't have internet forums...oh God...what am I doing here.

For me it would be 1900 to 1910.

Being a baseball fanatic ,I could watch Honus Wagner, Nap Lajoie, Ty Cobb, Walter Johnson and Christy Mathewson at the beginning of their careers or in their prime.

4 of the 5 above Cobb, Honus,Matty and Walter , were in the first Cooperstown Hall of Fame class of 1936. There were 5 members.

Babe Ruth was the other. His career spanned 1914 to 1935.

Oh, for the Time Machine!

Howdy,

1880's. I should've been a Cowboy!

Using my best Singing Cowboy voice:

I bet you've never heard ole Marshall Dillion say
Miss Kitty have you ever thought of running away
Settling down will you marry me
If I asked you twice and begged you pretty please
She'd of said Yes in a New York minute
They never tied the knot
His heart wasn't in it
He stole a kiss as he road away
He never hung his hat up at Kitty's place

I should've been a Cowboy
I should've learned to rope and ride
Wearing my six-shooter riding my pony on a cattle drive
Stealing the young girl's hearts
Just like Gene and Roy
Singing those campfire songs
I should've been a cowboy

I might of had a side kick with a funny name
Running wild through the hills chasing Jesse James
Ending up on the brink of danger
Riding shotgun for the Texas Rangers
Go west young man, haven't you been told
California's full of whisky, women and gold
Sleeping out all night beneath the desert stars
Dream in my eye and a prayer in my heart

I should've been a Cowboy
I should've learned to rope and ride
Wearing my six-shooter riding my pony on a cattle drive
Stealing the young girl's hearts
Just like Gene and Roy
Singing those campfire songs
I should've been a cowboy

I should've been a Cowboy
I should'be learned to rope and ride
Wearing my six-shooter riding my pony on a cattle drive
Stealing the young girl's hearts
Just like Gene and Roy
Singing those campfire songs
I should've been a Cowboy [x4]
