If America really wanted to stop domestic terrorism, the mass shootings and public place shootings the congress should craft a bill to allow all Veterans to concealed carry. Most veterans have actual shooting combat training and experience and more discipline than all cops except some SWAT officers. All Marine veterans have rifle and pistol expertise and are renown marksmen and I can vouch for the emphasis on fire discipline training. Marines would rarely rain bullets the way modern cops routinely do. A Marine would only rain ordinance on the "Fire for Effect" command and that is still precisely delivered to a target. Always with no collateral damage.
This is one Marines opinion for sure.

While I greatly respect veterans, being a veteran doesn't automatically insure that you're not a criminal, have a violent personality, or mentally unstable, so allowing carry based on simply being a veteran is not a great idea, in my opinion. Just be be clear, I'm NOT saying veterans are any of those things simply because they're veterans, I'm saying that being a veteran doesn't by itself preclude someone from being one or more of those things.

There are far too many veterans with PTSD and drug and alcohol abuse related to their service to give a carte blanche carry permit to vets.
