You really think you are going to have the wherewithal to know where ground zero of a nuclear attack will be and will be able to make sure your suicidal butt can be there when it happens? That's the point of being prepared. There will be many survivors to a shtf situation. The question you really should be asking is, if there will be a shtf situation and you become a survivor do you have the grit and determination to become prepared beforehand in order to take care of yourself and your family OR are you so selfish that instead of learning how to take care of them and become prepared you find yourself in such a situation with your thumb up your butt asking "what am I going to do now and who will take care of me??"?
For thousands of years humans have lived off the toil of their backs. It has only been in recent times that sheeple have become so entitled that they think all their needs should be readily available. A shtf situation separates the sheeple from those that don't mind a little hard work.
Me personally, I enjoy life. I enjoy the creation that God has provided for us and realize a simple life is a pleasant life. Earth gives us all that we NEED to live, but we may have to work it. This takes planning, preparation, and hard work. One may want more, but this earth can sustain us if we know what to do with it. Now in a shtf situation, you may not be able to work the Earth. Therefore, your food, security and shelter needs must be up to par to live for whatever amount of time you think the proverbial poop will spray all over you when it hits that fan.
People don't plan to fail, they fail to plan. ~ Ben Franklin.
