If Illinois goes constitutional carry

I'm a Missourian, but I travel through IL a couple time a year to visit family in Michigan. Needless to say, it's the state we're in for most of our trip. We'll be going at the end of June, so if the legislature hasn't enacted a CCW law by then, the state will go constitutional carry, as you all know.

My question is, will I be able to conceal carry my gun in Illinois if they go constitutional carry?

LOLOL.......Methinks you are either a troll, or one really confused puppy! :o)

OR, In case there is something going on that I haven't learned about:
Methinks I am not a troll, so I must be one really confused puppy! LOLOL?

I think IL will pass something but I fully expect it will be a "May Issue" state and go the way of NY and CA. I hope this is not the case because I was from IL and still have family there. It is a pain to go and visit since my wife's family lives in the Chicago area.

So if I was you I would cross IL by the shortest route even if it would add miles to the trip. I would NOT trust the LEOs to recognize "Constitutional Carry"!!!!!!!!!!

What are you talking about? I'm asking a simple question. If Illinois doesn't meet the deadline imposed by the court, the current statutes against conceal carry become null and void June 8. How about addressing the question instead of being a wise guy?

The last thing I'd heard about Illinois is that they were totally anti-gun... which led to the first part of my post.
Hadn't heard anything about any deadline being imposed by a court. Therefore, I apologize for getting your panties in a wad. Truly...

At any rate, If they become a constitutional carry state, I would think it would be only for residents of the State of Illinois... would I be making blind assumptions, considering that?

Don't expect IL to become shall issue any time soon! I'm not a betting man, but if I were, my bet would be it passing a may issue law before the constitutional carry deadline arrives.

You are correct about the deadline imposed on Illinois but if it passes, I am not exactly sure of the outcome...
I'd have to review the ruling to give you a better answer.

Here's what will happen...a mess. I live in IL. We have home rule. Municipalities have concealed carry ordinances. Chicago being one of them. There was just a lawsuit filed by the NRA requesting recognition of Moore on behalf of all FOID card holders in Cook and DuPage counties as well as anyone who has or does travel through them. Filed against the respective states attorneys. Both have said they would arrest people for AUUW after the state is enjoined from enforcing it.

We have our own site, illinoiscarry.com. much more legal discussion there.
