Idaho Concealed carry

What is the average time for the issue of the Idaho concealed carry?

Depends on your county. The sheriff in each county is the issuer of concealed weapon license in Idaho, and I would imagine several factors affect your experience: population, political leaning of your sheriff (it is an elected position, after all), other sheriff-type business, etc.

Mine took about a week for the temporary, then about another two for the official card to show up from the state.

In ADA County, it took approx. 5-wks after I submitted my application, for the background checks etc.. before I received my approval letter, which I just received this week. Next step is to head back down for my mugshot and payment for the permit. They'll issue a temporary, which is valid until I receive the permanent I.D.

I'm in ADA county have 28 days before the 90 days is up, have to wait and see
thanks for the feed back

Went down to pay my fees and have my mugshot taken today. Several people were there that had also just received they acceptance letters. Wonder if they're processing the background checks in batches ??

Now... If I could only find a single shop in SW Idaho that carries the S&W 9mm M&P Shield, I'd be set.

thanks Festus99 good luck with S&W "background checks in batches" you never know, the day I put the paper work in I was surprised how many people were doing the same there must have been 10+ in the 45min I was there.

Is Maryland still offering that online safety test AND if you pass it is that sufficiant to satisfy Idaho training requirements?

Update:Got it today in the mail Approved. It was approved on the 9/9 that took 4 1/2 weeks but they only put it in the post this week, must be busy in there
