Seeing that I'm not playing guitar anymore and my guitar's (Carvin DC127) been sitting in my closet for over a year collecting dust so I thought I need a 9mm pistol for the range. I have a Sig P250c 40sw which is a fine pistol but the ammo cost money. It's my conceal carry anyway and I shoot it every other month to stay proficient.
I placed an ad in CL that I want to trade for a good 9mm pistol, cheapies not entertained. About an hour later a guy responded that he has an HK USP 9mm full size he'll trade. He used to carry it on his security job but replaced it with a 686 and stored the USP in his safe. He said he didn't shoot it much and it's a 2003 model. I told him I'm interested but want to inspect the HK first. He said no problem and that he has a CHL. I have one too.
We met outside my house (he's from the other side of town and I'm not crazy about driving that far) and I had the amp hooked up so he can try out the guitar. While he played with the guitar I stripped the gun and looked at it. Excellent shape, I guess he didn't shoot it much after all so we had a deal. We exchanged our CHLs to keep it legal and all is well.
He's happy with his guitar and I'm happy with my pistol. Later I went to the range to try it out. I just need some more trigger time but it shot well and good on the hand.
