On Wednesday the Obama administration took its first major step in a plan to ban all firearms in the United States. The Obama administration intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations. By signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all firearms. The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US citizens even understand what has happened.

Obama can appear before the public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation (in the United States) that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is committing the US to international treaties and foreign gun control laws. Does that mean Obama is telling the truth?
What it means is that there will be no publicized gun control debates in the media or votes in Congress.
We will wake up one morning and find that the United States has signed a treaty that prohibits firearms and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public. We will wake up another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that prohibits any transfer of firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that requires US citizens to deliver any firearm they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment.

My understanding on this was that they waited until health care was out of the way so they wouldnt have to deal with the volitility of this as well!!! I'm not sure on the 2/3 vote thing though as I seem to remember hearing that he could get away with this somehow. I'd like to see some info on that to be sure.

And I am sure there were many that thought the traitors would never vote for the tax payer bailouts or the socialistic health care bill. You have way to much faith in our bureaucrats.

This HAS resurfaced and with that witch Hillary Clinton as Sec. of State they have revived this and Obama and his outlaw regime has told the other criminals at the UN that they will push to ratify it. I firmly believe that if this is pushed and they try to disarm the American citizenry it will result in an all out war that will either free us or kill us. If it was to happen.....what would YOU do? So unless you're gonna get PO'd because you won't be able to buy several hundred Russian tanks or a squadron of German fighter-bombers, you shouldn't worry about it.

So you guys can and snicker and Te hee all you want but the National Association for Gun Rights is taking this as a very real and serious threat, click the link and have a read, they have more than one source for this rationale such as Congressman Paul Broun. Or you can just close your eyes and hope it never happens....

IF this treaty were ratified, the only action required to legally deprive us of our weapons and ammo would be a declaration by the Homeland Security or State departments stating that we are "insurgents".

Just a simple announcement that the NRA, NAGR, GOA and 2AF are insurgent groups and it would be against international law for us to own, buy or sell guns and ammo.

And then of course he asks for money to help fight this "outrage". Sounds like a whole lot of fear-mongering by a politician looking to refill his donation plate. I'd really like the congressman to go into detail about how this treaty would "FORCE" national governments to do all the things he claims. Tell me....if the congressman said this treaty would prevent Americans from buying red meat on tuesdays would you believe it? He's playing on your fears.

I'm an NRA member and have been a gun enthusiast for 40+ years. The proposed legislation has NOTHING to do with the 2nd amendment. Stop drinking the political kool-aid. It's making you look foolish.

Yea...well...Mr. Obama and the UN can try all they want. The whole idea of it is almost impossible. Have you ever noticed how history has treated oppressors? The only problem is can we make it thru the gauntlet until the ones who oppress are replaced? I hope and pray we do. A tank is not considered a small arm or light weapon. this is nothing but gun control.
