I need advice please.

Im a recent retired NYC firefighter. We my family and I moved to Ulster Co NY. Ive picked up an application
to get a gun. I will be doing huntingoutdoor photography, hicking with the kids, etc. Ive done all in my
application. Ive heard that the letter to the judge must be done by a lawyer or the judge wont even see it.
I need advice. Ive tried to search for a model letter but nothing. Help!! :dirol:

Move OUT of NY.
It would be hard to find a worse state to live in as far as firearm laws are concerned.

Assuming you have to pay for a lawyer, I would think that if you are going to pay a lawyer to do the letter they would have a template / draft. I mean that is part of what you would be paying for.
