I\'m considering buying a Glock 22 Gen 3 or 4 to replace my Taurus T740 for CCW

I originally purchased a Taurus slim-line T740. Although it is a good performing weapon, I found later that I disliked the magazine capacity. The most important dislike is the handgrip. My hand is much larger than the grip and it affects my target shooting. I use this as a CCW.

I\'m considering purchasing a Glock 22 Gen 3 or 4 due to larger grips and larger magazine capacity as a new ccw. I\'ve read some good reviews on the Gen 4 22. It\'s smaller and supposedly has less recoil to return to your target. I also read that the hand grip is adjustable.

The Gen 3 has a good full grip feel but would be considerably larger for everyday ccw.

I welcome any comments anyone may have.

Jason, My 2 cents is if you are going to go with the Glock 22 (any Glock in 40 cal), go with the Gen 4. All the kinks people may gripe about have been worked out. (I'm a Glock Armorer, so I'm not just making that up) The Gen 4 has much less felt recoil. Pretty important in that 40. Dont be afraid to try the Glock 19 if you are looking at Glocks. Its the mid size 9. 9mm rounds have come a long way. Feel free to hit me up with any specific questions.

love my glock 22, definitely get a gen4. the price difference is tiny. yes, the standard kit comes with the adjustable backstrap/hand thing. seen it on a couple other guns too now i believe. guess people are starting to realize that one size doesn't fit all, well.

I just picked up my G-22, Gen 4. The 3 as was stated does have a good feel and I shall keep it also. I have had several prior G-22's and 26's. Each time I give/trade/sell one and come down to only the G22 Gen 3, I buy another. The spring on the gen 4 is great. Either way you can not go wrong. Buy via Davidson's and you shall have a life time warranty.
