:frown: i cant cock my high point 9mm pistol as easy as i could when i bought it i been diagnose with char cot Marie tooth disea type 1 . so i don't carry it anymore is there any other people having the same trouble..

Considering the fact that this is usually a progressive problem, the weakening of the muscles will prevent you from adequately grasping the slide and racking it, right?

So, actually, a revolver may be the right way to go. However, if you are having trouble with the muscle control in grasping things, you may also want to step back a bit to a lesser recoiling caliber.

Good luck

  1. Hi Point = lousy carry gun. Big, clumsy, heavy and with a recoil spring like the suspension springs in a Sherman tank is a bad combination in a carry gun.
  2. A decent revolver is a MUCH better solution to your needs, although even a generic M1911 is going to be easier to cycle than the Hi Point. Large caliber blowbacks ALWAYS have monstrous recoil springs. They HAVE to. That's 180deg. the opposite of what YOU want.

Sorry to hear that.
