I Chron 7:14 and Today's Political Mess

My aunt sent this to me, and I think it has much to do with today's political mess in D.C. No offense intended to anyone, of course, if they happen to disagree with this.

In god's word he states,"if my people who are called by my name
will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from
their wicked ways, then i will hear from heaven and will forgive
their sin and heal their land."

I agree and who are God's people today? Those of us that are Christians. We are the ones that need to humble ourselves and pray. We have no controle over what the heathen do but we need to get right with God.

Amen brother's. Its good to hear some people love the Lord on this site. Here is a great passage for all the Obama bashers or any body that like to bash elected officials or people in authority. Here is what 1 peter 2:13-17 states. NIV

13Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority, 14or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. 15For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men. 16Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God. 17Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king.

Althought we disagree with certain things we must pray for our leaders. The more we don't like them the more we should pray

And yet you support a man who bows lower to an Arab King than the Queen of England and a man who would have "In His Steps" covererd, a man that says we hold onto the Bible and guns. A man that supports abortion as a form of birth control and coverts with known human rights abusers. A man that has already spent far more tax money in a few short months than Bush did in four years. Granted Bush wasn't our best president (JFK and Reagon are the top two in my life time). Yes we must pray, not for our president but for our country.

That's right. Obama won't even prove his eligiblilty to be our president. He does not represent our best interest, he is not for the people. I can't think of one good reason to even respect the man.
Our Constitution is the authority of the land, and elected officials are bound to follow that law. If anyone, especially the president, violates that law, then they are not our leaders, they are criminals and tyrants in office.

I have heard similar jargon, twisting romans 13 and saying we should cow down and obey our 'leaders' no matter what they do. Don't believe it Brothers.
Rebellion to Tyrants is Obedience to God

I agree with you completely, and I have prayed for the Lord to place Godly men and women in Obama's inner circle, where they can exert a Christ-like influence on him, because Lord knows Obama needs it.

I too am appalled and ashamed of Obama's position on almost everything. He clearly does not show any evidence that he has ever bowen down and humbled himself before the Lord God Almighty and submitted to His lordship for his life. This is precisely why Obama needs our prayer. I appreciate your comments.

Yep, been there a number of times. I saw an article in the local paper several weeks back about it and the article said that the guy that started it split off the mail order from the local store sometime back. I don't remember if he kept the mail order dept and sold the retail store or kept the retail store and sold the mail order.

Ronwill stated, "Yes we must pray, not for our president but for our country."

We have to pray for both. Don't believe i didn't pray for Bush.

Obama claims to be a christian also so i will leave it up to him and God if he truly is or not. I would say if each of us here searched our heart that we would find something that we could do better at or give to God. I don't support abortion but that is something that shouldn't be up to the president. Leave it up to the states.

Church and politics have no connection and should be left separate.

Why is it when we don't support Obama we're "bashing" him and when you speak out against Bush or any number of republicans you're voicing an informed opinion? As for abortion being a form of birth control, that's exactly what having the choice is. Don't get me wrong I'm not totally against abortion but it should be limited to pregnancy resulting from rape or where the pregnancy is a danger to the mother. Concerning praying for the country, I consider that praying for all its citizens including the president. Let's see what happens to taxes in the next couple of years because I don't see them staying at current levels. If you think the government can just keep spending and spending without increases you're in a dream. Personally, I hope Obama succeeds in turning the economy around without raising taxes, I just don't see it happening.

the fact is we are both bashing. Your right on the dream cause that is exactly what the bush admin. did. is spend wildly and not raise taxes. Obama will spend more wildly and raise taxes on the top 5%. As i stated i am not in that top 5 yet although i hope to be before i die.

ON WHAT PLANET DO YOU LIVE IN THAT YOU CAN POSSIBLY THINK YOU CAN SPEND YOUR WAY OUT OF DEBT?

And the fact is, Universal Health Care, College Education For Everybody, Amnesty, and the Usurper Obama's other Socialist Programs, are unsustainable, in the history of the world THEY HAVE NEVER WORKED!

You seem to have not noticed that the top 5% that he touts is only payroll and is what he is openly telling you about...

Some of the things that he is not openly telling you about is he will roll back 100% of the W. Bush tax cuts which a defacto 2500.00 per household tax increase in itself, then there is the new social security tax which will hit 100 percent of everybody, then there is the new stinking GREEN TAXES, which will show up on all your utility bills, just for starters, 5.00 a gal gasoline green tax to follow...
Or how about Obama's stinking Socialist Global Poverty Tax that will hit 100% of every household in the U.S., that includes giving the U.N. authority on what firearms we may be allowed to have...

Or how about the fact that he mandated buying NEW GREEN CARS for all Government Employees? and where is he going to buy them from ? not the bankrupt American Auto Makers and U.S. Citizen employees making them; HE'S BUYING THEM FROM JAPAN!

Moreover, runaway inflation, 21-1/2 % prime rate...

Giving billions of bailout money to banks like "Bank of America" that give lines of credit, credit cards and bank accounts to illegal aliens...

WELCOME BACK CARTER (AKA: Obama)

BEST PRESIDENT MY EYE, WORST EVER MORE LIKE...

And if the Messiah does not get shot or impeached before he runs us into the ground and we have to start learning mandated Chinese and Spanish, and paying homage to the U.N., they will have to put an Asterisk next to his name as the first Usurper President and the last President of the country formerly known as the United States of America...

The Country He Ruined!
