I wonder what those who know even more about California laws have to say about the way this happened.

Lawsuit a Shot in the Dark

I've said it before, they aren't better, they just think they are.

Hmmmmm...When my kids were three, they were not ANYWHERE NEAR MY GUNS!

dumb ass ! Of all people, he should know better...then to have the juevos to try to sue people for his stupidity.... hmmmm.. maybe better that he has been removed from the LAPD gene pool.

Let's see... put a three year old in the back seat with a loaded gun, check.Make sure I got a gun without a safety on it, check Don't strap him into the baby seat so he can run all over the vehicle, and maybe get killed in a crash, check Oh crap I'm shot and everyone else should pay for my mistakes, check And if all else fails when I sue the gun maker, I'll sue the holster maker, checkmate What an Idiot!:to_pick_ones_nose:

I read through the list of defendants in this suit and I'm just plain surprised that the kid's momma isn't listed.

My 4yo grand daughter knows all about "Papa's" guns. She helps me put the ammo back in the box once they're unloaded, and also helps carry them back to the safe. She will get her first gun for Christmas this year. She also knows, and always repeats to me on her own each time we work with any of mine, that she is never to touch any firearms unless an adult specifically says she can after she asks. She also knows to let an adult know if she ever sees one unattended, WITHOUT touching it first. They are never to young to learn. I learned before I could hold one up without help, and my plan for them is the same.

This law suit rates along side the one filed by the man who claimed Mcdonalds Corp had made him fat, and gave him heart diease.

Or,
The one filed by the woman who clamied Mcdonalds coffee burned her girl parts when she poured coffee in her lap.

People are always trying to get something for nothing.

This could of been worse. The little kid could of turned the glock on himself.

Historic footnote: That particular McDonalds had been called to the carpet multiple times prior to the incident of the parbroiled labia. They knew two things: 1) They were cranking the temperature up on their coffee machine to dangerous levels, 2) The Health Department in the area ordered them to reduce the temperature to safe levels.

Problem was, that McDonalds was getting their cheap, crappy coffee elsewhere and they knew that it was cheap and crappy. They had an economic need to keep people from tasting it until they were far down the road, hence the disfiguringly high temperature.

So, was the woman stupid for handling her cup in her car? Yes. Was that McDonalds liable for her injuries due to the unacceptably high temperature of said coffee? Yes. Had the temp been within the bounds the Health Department had set, it would have been a painful lesson, but not disfiguringly so.

I seem to recall also that the McDonald's at issue knew they were using cheap cups which were not designed to handle those high temperatures.

So these things are not entirely one-sided. But I do think common sense dictates at least using a drink holder.

When Europeans drive, they actually drive. And when they stop to eat and drink, they stop to eat and drink. Would that more Americans actually paid attention to their driving.

AND WOULD THAT MORE AMERICANS PAID ATTENTION TO THEIR GUNS!
