Hybrid holster question for a Kahr P380

Recently ordered a new Kahr P380 w/CT Laser Guard and I'm shopping for an IWB holster for daily carry. I have been carrying my Glock 27 in a Bianchi Negotiator ankle rig but it required larger leg/baggier pants for good concealment. Since I'm going with a much smaller frame pistol I figured an IWB holster would be best. I have narrowed my search down to a Crossbreed Minituck or a Garrett Industries Silent Thunder Fusion. I am leaning toward the latter because of the nicer and more detailed construction. Does anyone have experience with the GI STF? I know the Crossbreed and other similar "unlined" rigs are very popular but was wondering if the added details on the GI make it any better that the others.

BTW...I welcome any other opinions for IWBs.

My most liked holster is the n82 pro. I forget that it's even there. Don't no if they make the pro for the Kahr p380 but they have a holster that fits it. My EDC is a Baby Glock 26. Just bought a Kahr CM9 about the same size as my Sig. p238 hoping the holsters I have for it works for the CM9.

Thanks for the response! The N82 looks good but I feel the offset double clip design would reduce the protrusion of the clip attached on top of pistol body.

I'm considering a cross breed. I've never had a holster that had two clips but it has to spead the weight out and be a sturdy, stable holster.

I've been carrying a Kahr PM9 for the past 9 months in a Cattasi Holsters Zura. I don't know if it would fit the p380 w/CT Laser Guard, but the Zura has been completely concealed and comfortable for those 9 months with 18 hour days in dress slacks and tucked-in dress shirt.

The Zura seems like a good idea for loose business/button up shirts. I tend to wear knit polo shirts daily and would not be accessible or well concealed. After a lot of research I decided to purchase the Garrett Industries Silent Thunder Solo, although my original intention was to purchase its double clip sibling the Fusion. I spoke with Ron, the owner, and he assured me that the clip protrusion is only 1/8" more than the Fusion but the Solo has the added flexibility of multiple positions. With my small P380 it can be worn as an IWB anywhere from appendix to SOB to cross draw. Ron recommended the full Kydex leather lined Silent Thunder IWB if I wanted an easily removable holster with better pistol re-holstering. My primary interest, however, is all day comfort and from what I've been reading, the GI Fussion and Solo are some of the most comfortable high quality holsters out there. Their composite back pad and the leather lined Kydex puts the GI design above most others, at least as a concept! Judging from all the positive posts about these holsters I don't think I will be disappointed. I should be receiving it within 3 weeks and I will post remarks along with pics.

Mackenzie Holsters makes one for the Kahr P380 and they are having a Buy 1 Get one free Sale so you can get an IWB and OWB for cheap and they have Great reviews here and on other forums I have got 4 of there holsters now my 4th I picked up Labor Day for the XDs 3.3... I know they make a all leather Minimus Holster also but I don't think they have pics up yet. The guy is a one man shop and he hand crafts all holster and the leather he uses is far superior to most of the name brand holsters and uses top notch hardware. I highly recommend Mackenzie Great Guy and Great customer service also. They are at Link Removed

I'm a Kholster guy, But my first hybrid was a crossbreed. I've actually tried many of the Hybrids out there. The silent thunder series has some popularity but in the end all hybrids are very close and the same rules apply to all of them. First 2 clips are always better than one, some people may disagree but FACT is that 2 clips disperse weight more evenly. Granted weight isn't a big issue with a .380 but more comfortable is more comfortable. As far as lined vs unlined. ANY holster will put some wear on the gun at some point. In my findings leather will do it before Kydex will. They'll both do it, but the leather wear seems to happen quicker and be more noticeable but every gun and holster combo is slightly different. My issue with crossbreed is their overpriced and make you wait to long, aside from that, they make good holsters. I would go with the Minituck over the ST. The new option I like with Kholster is the option to have it treated with Mink Oil from the get go, basically "pre" breaks it in. My buddy just got one and they feel awesome, just ordered mine. I'm sure some other mfg's do it as well. If I were going to try another hybrid at this point I'd probably go with White Hat. They give you a lot of nice options from the hide, to kydex to swapping out the shells for other guns. Also don't rule out Remora/StickHolster there a little strange in theory but work awesome.
