Hunting Lisense

I don`t know about all you hunters out there but NYS can kiss my ass this year on buying my hunting license. All the time you hear deer hunters don`t need that type of gun for deer hunting well I might for another state.I think that ALL HUNTERS should SAY NO TO COUMO and go to another state to hunt.

Unfortunately, this won't hurt Cuomo at all. If anything it would encourage him. "If you don't hunt, what do you need a gun for," would be his new mantra. I pay my taxes on a piece of land bordered by state forest, I'll be damned if I'm not going to hunt in New York. Up until yesterday I was seriously looking toward Vermont, but now the same asinine legislation we have seen in New York has been introduce in their legislature.

I diden`t say I was not going to hunt just not in this state. You can bet when the the state does not get there funding from the hunters it will hurt cuomo.I don`t need a hunting for self protection, sport shooting.target and varmet hunting.

2ndA is not about hunting

Politicians always drag out the old "you deon't need an AR-15 or high capacity magazines for hunting." Don''t these over-educated idiots ever learn that the Second Amendment has nothing whatsoever to do with hunting> You can sift through the incredibly simple Amendment or the political debate it has engendered, and not find one word about deer or squirrels or rabbits. It is a red herring, friends. The Second Amendment is totally for defense. A well-regulated (in those days, this meant properly trained) militia (all men between 18 and 45 years of age capable of fighting) Being necessary to the security of a free state( (defending against savages, criminals and tyranny) The right of the people (not a federally funded and equipped military force that van be nationalized) to keep and bear arms (self explanatory) shall not be infringed (interfered with in any way. What part of 'shall not be infringed' are they having trouble with?

As does the thong wearing left wing media. And that is the problem! They are hypnotizing the american pubic by repeating it over and over again.

There is no way to answer the question Why do you need a 30 round mag or the hunting thing. Hunting with a semi-auto was already limited to a 5 round mag in NY so Cuomo is showing his ass every time he says it. The people asking are simply repeating a question they have been hypnotized to ask. They don't want to hear an answer and no matter what they will never understand the logic, they have been hypnotized.

I have tried in an attempt to keep your enemies closer to listen to them on MSNBC but I can never make it past a few seconds and I have to turn them off.
I just can not stand to listen to a gaggle of gay guys breathlessly talking about AR-15's of which they know nothing about, while demonizing me for owning firearms. What gives them the right to bully me when I am not allowed to even criticize them without being labeled a hater and a bully? I mean WTF!

The state brings in about 1.1 Billion in Pitman money form hunting licenses - and tax on guns and bullets.
This is about 1% of the budget. Believe me it would have an effect. That money pays for the conservation officers too.
I won't be buying a hunting license in 2013 and I urge a hunters strike but I doubt if most hunters would be willing to do the same.

Other suggestions are to stop playing the NY Lottery.

Bottom line this new law is akin to prohibition. It is gonna drive ammo sales underground for sure as well as have other implications.
ps.
The Progressive liberals that got us into this mess aren't finished with us yet, so to do nothing is the same as surrendering.

Give 'em a chance and they'll even work in "racist" ......

I have taken part in a DEC/Cornell University research project to identify the reasons people participate in wildlife-associated recreation activities such as birdwatching and (especially) hunting across New York State. It seems that NY is concerned with the lack of interest younger people are showing in hunting and they would like to find ways to rectify it. For the life of me, I can't see how demonizing gun owners will help this cause. But anyway, a noticeable drop in hunting license revenue will get their attention as NYS has been working to accomplish just the opposite.
