How to transport a Hand gun through Marylnad On the I-81 Intersate leagaly ?

Real good Question i have not seen posted anyplace.
How do you drive through The State Of Maryland on the I-81 corridor with a hand gun/ Lock it up break it down or can you even transport it at all through the State and if so How do you do it and not go to Jail ?

Stop b4 state line, unload magazine and weapon, lock gun in seperate compartment from passenger compartment, lock ammo up seperate from gun. Drive thru state only stop for gas and food if you must. But it is also only 15 miles on i 81.

You must be transporting from one lawful place to another for a lawful purpose and where you can lawfully possess the firearm. The weapon must be unloaded and both the weapon and the ammunition be in a location not readily accessible from the passenger compartment. It it is a vehicle that has no separation the weapon and ammunition must contained in a locked compartment other than the glove compartment.

Thank you I thought that might be what it took .. Just wanted to make sure. But will still contact the Sheriffs department and ask the same Question to be 100% sure. As i did with Texas .. You do not need a conceled carry permit in Colorado as long as you keep it open carry Now that I did talk with the Sheriffs Department if Alamosa County and Costella County, Colorado just to make sure . And eh same goes forin the Vechical It has be in plain sight in the truck or car. so now that's one is cover for my entire trip with all the permits ihave ..

Thank you . I thought that miht be what it would take just like so many other States, but check out what Colorado has going Open carry is permittit and concelled carry requires a Permit and you have to be a resident. So you can Carry In Colorqado Open Carry of on in the Truck or car but in pain site. I called the Sherrifs Department to make sure wher we are going .. and will still do the same with maryland as well. Just to make sure 100% . Know the law keep sus law bidding Ciztizens out of trouble, only the bad guys will not give a rats xxx.. Thanks, Blaster
