Out of Lexington, KY this morning.....
A home owner turned the tables on a home invader in the middle of the night. When the home owner heard someone force their way into his home in the middle of the night, he was able to fight the invader off. The homeowner was able to fire a shot at the man who forced his way into the home around 12:30, but (unfortunately) noone was injured. The home invader then took off running and was able to jump in a car that was apparently waiting outside to help him make his escape. The home owner also then proceeded to help Lexington Police chase the car down. The man who forced his eway into the home was apprehended, but two other individuals in the car bailed out of the car and were able to escape for now. Lexingtom Police are hoping to make additional arrests in the case very soon.
And people have the nerve to ask me why I own firearms and keep them in my home! These home invasions are on the rise across KY - four have occurred in my area in the past two weeks. This homeowner gets my "Crime Fighter Of The Day Award":neo:!
