A short-barreled rifle, or SBR, is legally defined as a "shoulder-fired, rifle bore" firearm with a barrel of 16 inches or shorter, or a firearm whose overall length is less than 26 inches. It's a sad commentary that we have to register these guns. All because some gangsters in the 30's had better firepower than the police (jealous much) not to mention a law abiding citizen will wait 10 months for his/her SBR. A BG about 10 minutes.

While I agree with you on the face of the matter the vast majority of folks who write about NFA items seem to have no real experience and tend to over exaggerate what must be done to get them.

I agree 100 percent. No 4473 no gov involvement in what firearms we buy or own whatsoever. However no matter how much I hope for such a thing as a law abiding citizen I will obey the law as it stands and operate within it.
