How many were killed by assualt weapons in 2010, 2011, 2012?

Though I know the definition of assault weapons is very poor. Is there any data period that describes how many have been killed from year to year?

In the coming months there will likely be more shootings that are overly publicized. ****, two adults were murdered and it got more publicity than an entire town over seas being wiped off the map. We need to ramp up the solid arguments. Not one popular News organization even mentioned the fact that every single mass shooting has occurred in a gun free or mostly gun free zone. I read in OR you can open carry, but you can't have your fire arm loaded.

I was just saying to somebody how ironic it is that soft point and hollow point bullets were banned on the battlefield a long time ago, but it's OK to send a drone to take out a city block somewhere, piloted by a guy in Hancock Field, NY...

Certain cities have ordinances that don't allow loaded OC, such as Portland, Salem, independence, Oregon city, Beaverton, tigard, some others. The rest of the state you can open carry loaded.

Having a chl exempts you from any cities ordinance, so you can open carry in those cities loaded.

Was mostly drawing attention to the Fact that the shooting occurred in an area where you can't carry a loaded gun. Thanks for the added information.

Edit: also this shooting was reported as being done with an Automatic when in fact it was a Semi-Auto. A AW ban would not have prevented this. I believe the same is true for the recent school shooting.

I saw some FBI stats recently, where rifles (not further categorized) were used in about 5% gun homicides. Shotguns in 5%, the rest handguns.
