Just Sent In Application
Hi Guys...
Resident of Wisconsin here.
First post so I thought I'd say "HI" and to let you know I took my Utah Firearms training last Saturday, June 20 and sent in all the paperwork on Monday, June 22. My instructor did say it would take a while, but I did hear the BCI added a few more people to try and improve the turnaround time.
Since I have my Florida, Minnesota, and New Hampshire permits, I am not in that much of a rush but it will be interesting to see how soon I do receive it. Basically, I just wanted a backup to my Florida license just in case there are any renewal problems when that permit comes due in a few years. Have been hearing real horror stories regarding trying to get the Florida permit in a timely manner although renewals are down to a few months.
Plus... you can never get too much training. My training was 6 hours classroom and 1 hour range and cost $100. They did the fingerprints right there and I had an extra passport type photo when I submitted my application for my Florida Non-Resident Permit.
Good luck to all who have applied for Utah and I hope you all get them in a timely manner.
