i am thinking of buying a s&w mp 40 compact. how is it for concealed carry ?

is it hard to find a left hand concealed holster for it? what do you think about the s&w mp compact 40

i have the full size in .40 cal and love it. i got rid of my springfield xd for it, but carry a xd-40 sc. cant go wrong with either. im also a fellow lefty and went with a crossbreed super tuck. solved all problems. if you live in a open carry state id go with a blackhawk, thats what my full size rides in, but isnt good for cc.

hope it helps.

I am not a lefty but, I own a M&P .40 Compact and it is great for concealing. Not even little bit of evidence that I have it on me. As far as my holster is concerned it is a Galco Leather holster and I am sure they make it for lefties also.

I have the MP 40c. It is my first CCW. I've had plenty of weapons in my 22 years in the Army but never had to worry about concealing a weapon. It took me a little getting used to when carrying. But, now its like clothing to me. I actually feel weird when its not near me now. Wife carry's the 9MM version and is a lefty. She has the same holsters as me just reverved. We bought from "Desbiens Leather". Have a couple but like them all. Also I use a SMARTCARRY in the summers.

Love my M&P.40c. I have a Kimber 1911 that is my fav EDC but the .40 is really great to carry. I carried it almost everyday during the warm months, with just a T shirt and shorts. A good gun belt and holster of course. So, long story short, love the way it shoots is very acurate for me and it working it's way to the top of the carry list. It's nice to have a choice.

I own the M&P40c and have been carrying it for about a year. It has quickly become the EDCG for me. No issues to report nor problems with it. I bought the M&P45 first and was pleased with it, decided to get the 40c for summer carry as the 45 is kinda big and does not hide well in shorts and tee shirts... I see many of the holsters I own in left handed versions so you just need to check with the vendor..

For a great comfortable IWB holster look at the CrossBreed SuperTuck or the Brommeland Max-Con. I own both and like the comfort.

For OWB I have the Blackhawk Serpa and DeSantis Gunhide.

I own the 40c and bought it for summer carry in shorts and tee shirts...

No issues or problems with it or the M&P45 I have also.

For IWB holster that is very comfortable, look at the CrossBreed SuperTuck. They make them in left hand versions.

Also Brommeland Max-Con V IWB holsters are super high quality and are very comfortable. They cost a little more, but why get cheap when it comes to a holster? It makes no sense and in the long run, 2 or 3 cheap holsters that don't feel all that good nor fit right, will cost you the same as a good one...
