How fast can you re-mag your weapon?

How fast can you re-mag your weapon. Don't really care the type of weapon, but how fast can you drop, reposition, lock, load and continue to fire?

My range buddy and I timed each other a couple of weeks ago.

Not overly scientific, but we timed each other from last round fired to first round fired from fresh magazine. We both averaged a tad over three seconds, and we're neither one what one would describe as professional shooters.

I used a G19 (gen 4)and he had a Kimber. I ran one test with my EDC G26 (gen 3) and was at four seconds, which I attribute to the smaller ejection button.

OK, so what I'm getting through all the posts is that on average most everyone can drop, re mag, and fire within 3 seconds. SO THE BIG question is, why is banning a high cap. mag a step in the right direction verses being able to reload and shoot within 3 seconds???

Sorry, a bit rhetorical, I already know the answer but try to point out the lunacy of Law makers to incite knee jerk legislation. What Country do we live in again?????

That is what I pointed out in another thread. Having a 30 round mag only gets a few extra rounds fired as compared to 3 10 round mags.

Fast enough to resume shooting if nobody is shooting back. That is why a magazine cap makes no sense.

Fast enough that in a big crowd I would not have a less body count then a 30 round mag. But I obey the law so we don’t have to worry about that.

Not to mention, in my opinion, a ten rounder feeds more dependably than 20 or 30 rounders, and in my case I can change ten rounders faster. Kind of ironic.
